An excellent introductory class to boating is America's Boating Course (ABC).  Topics covered include: boating safety, navigation rules, trailering, boat launching, safety equipment, docking, Virginia boating laws and much more! Many insurance companies will offer a premium discount to students that have successfully completed the class. The cost is $40 which includes a textbook & CD. Total class time is 8 hours. New classes form periodically so check back often!
